:-[ I know, FT news has been a bit few and far between.

Consider me told off  ;D

Hope to get the new video done soon.. Just trying to get lots done at the moment, the to-do list seems to get longer all the time. FT is a beast!

I see.
I know you said you didn't want to say anything but will it be before new year or after?
Just wanted a rough idea. Not precise date. Sorry  :-[

I'm hoping for this year. No need to be sorry, questions are good!  ;)

Yep I did tell you off. It has been almost 3 years since this post and the topics :)

I think shot0224 is the best. Looks like a proper city man. Hurry hurry and complete it  ;)

*quickly buries evidence*  ;D

It is taking a long time I know, but evey day it's getting a bit closer.

Shot224 shows some stuff I've only just been working on for the last week or so, still some tweaks to be made but I'm pretty happy with the way things are going right now.

shot224 the streetlights look rather sharp, could that be changed and it kind of destroys the dark city-like atmosphere, presuming that you've only just added those features would they be changed? None the less it looks amazing and i'm rather curious on the amount of BSP Errors & Invisible walls you've come into contact with?  :)

Welcome to the forums h4xIRL and thanks for the comments.

The streetlights don't actually look sharp like that in game. They're all placed decorations and I'm wondering whether the mechanism to take screenshots is making them look a bit jagged as they're pretty smooth in game. In the screenshot you mentioned they are all at the default brightness and there will be some (or a lot) of tweaking going on later with ScaleGlow's and all that.

I've had surprisingly few issues with BSP and invisible walls. There's only one invisible wall that I can remember but it was my own fault as I had done something stupid with a brush :-[ but after I sorted that out it's been fine ever since. There was also a bit of a problem after I added the bridge but again I just redesigned the brushwork and all was well.

Movers are a bit of an issue at times but there's so many in the map (and complex ones) that it's to be expected I guess, although ordering them to last before rebuilding in UnrealED usually fixes them up. I've actually been thinking about going from mover/brush based doors to models and decorations - the testing I've done with that showed promise so there is a Plan B! We'll see!  ;D

Making an RPG map myself I noticed alot of my mover doors pivot points went out of sync at one point or another and so it's always worth checking the doors every so often, also I would suggest starting with scale glow 0.2 or so.
